About Me

- Name: Eric T Hansen
- Location: Berlin, Germany
I'm American but I have lived in Germany for over 20 years – about half my life. My mother tongue in English but I speak German most of the day. I even dream in German. So guess what I write about? Germany from an outsider's perspective. America from a distance. Living the Ex-Pat life. What it means to carry two souls in your breast – one American, one German. My books have been published so far only in German: "Die Nibelungenreise," about my one-year trip through Germany in search of nine heroes of the Middle Ages, and "Planet Germany," a satirical look at this strange, puzzling place I have come to love. I'll tell you one thing about living the ex-pat life, though: It sure makes you look at things differently.
